어린이나 동물들이 신나게 뛰놀거나 장난치는 즐겁고 활기찬 행동을 뜻함.

대부분 어린이나 동물 등의 명랑한 상황에서 사용되며, 다소 문학적이고 옛스러운 느낌이 있음. 보통 복수로 'childish frolics', 'puppy frolics' 등과 함께 사용함.
