Definition

কারো বা কোনো পশুকে ভয় দেখিয়ে এমনভাবে তাড়ানো যাতে তারা চলে যায় বা ফিরে না আসে।

'frighten off' সাধারণত পশু বা অনাকাঙ্ক্ষিত ব্যক্তিকে তাড়াতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'scare away'-এর মত, কিন্তু এখানে ফিরে না আসার মনোভাব বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
