鍛造は金属を加熱して叩いて形を作ることです。また、書類や署名などを偽造する意味もあります。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
金属加工の時は専門用語やフォーマルな場面で使われます。'forging a signature/document' は偽造の意味になります。'forgetting'（忘れる）と間違えないように。
