Mover-se pelo ar de um lugar para outro, muitas vezes sem direção definida. Também pode significar coisas (como boatos ou ideias) que se espalham rapidamente.

Normalmente informal. Pode ser usado literalmente (aves, insetos) e figurativamente (rumores, ideias). É comum em frases como "rumores fly around". Não deve ser confundido com "fly by" (passar rapidamente) ou "fly over" (passar por cima).
