旗や国旗を掲げるための長い縦の柱。学校や建物の前、式典などでよく見られます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

公式な場や公共の場で使われます。「flagpoles」は複数形で、1本の場合は「flagpole」を使います。「flagstaff」と混同しないように注意してください。
