Fazer o trabalho de alguém temporariamente porque essa pessoa não está disponível.

Expressão informal comum no ambiente de trabalho ou escolar. Usada para situações temporárias, sempre com alguém: 'fill in for someone'. Não confundir com 'replace' (permanente) ou 'cover for' (mais geral).
