Concentrar fortemente a atenção em algo ou agarrar-se fisicamente a algo. Pode referir-se tanto ao foco mental como ao apego físico.

Pode ser usado de forma literal ('agarrar-se a algo') ou figurativa ('concentrar-se numa ideia'). Aparece mais em inglês escrito/formal. Normalmente usa-se 'to' ou 'upon'. Não confundir com 'fasten' isolado, que é só físico.
