Definition

だれかや何かをわなや策略で捕らえること。また、抜け出しにくい面倒な状況に巻き込むことも指す。

「ensnare」は文学的でフォーマルな表現。「trap」より難しいニュアンスがあり、「策略」「罠」「複雑な状況」と一緒に使われる。日常会話ではあまり出てこない。
