胚や発生の初期段階に関すること。または、物事が始まったばかりで、まだ十分に発展していない状態も指す。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
科学や生物学でよく使われるが、『in an embryonic stage』のように比喩的にもアイデアやプロジェクトの初期にも使う。人そのものには使わない。
