Definition

আগুন নিভে যাওয়ার পর বেঁচে থাকা ছোট ছোট জ্বলন্ত কাঠ বা কয়লার টুকরো, যেগুলো থেকে এখনো তাপ আসে এবং আবার আগুন জ্বলতে পারে।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'embers' সাধারণত বহুবচনে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'glowing embers', 'dying embers' প্রায়ই শোনা যায়। আগুন বা আবেগের বেঁচে থাকা অংশ বোঝাতে রূপক অর্থেও ব্যবহার হয়। স্পষ্ট শিখার জন্য ব্যবহার হয় না।
