Definition
বিশেষ রাসায়নিক ব্যবহার করে মরদেহকে পচনরোধ করা হয়। কোনো কিছু দীর্ঘ সময় অপরিবর্তিত ভাবে থাকা বোঝাতেও ব্যবহার হয়।

বেশিরভাগ সময় ইতিহাস, বিজ্ঞান বা আনুষ্ঠানিক প্রসঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'embalmed tradition' বললে নেতিবাচক অর্থ প্রকাশ পেতে পারে।
