생략 부호(말줄임표)는 글에서 무언가 생략되었거나 생각이 끝나지 않았음을 보여주기 위해 사용하는 점 세 개(...)입니다.

문학, 공식 글 모두에서 사용됨. 인용문에서 일부를 생략할 때, 또는 문장의 미완을 암시할 때 쓸 수 있음. '…' 기호를 그대로 사용함.
