전문적으로 사람을 가르치거나 교육하는 일을 하는 사람. 교사, 강사, 트레이너 등이 포함된다.

‘교육자’는 ‘teacher’보다 더 공식적이고 넓은 의미. 교수, 강사, 트레이너 등도 포함된다. 공식적·학술적 상황에서 주로 사용. 부모 등에는 사용하지 않는다.
