水や空気、煙が主流とは逆に小さな円を描いて回る動き。またはその渦のこと。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
主に科学的、文学的な文脈や描写で使われる。日常会話ではあまり使われない。『an eddy of smoke』『eddies in the river』のような表現に現れる。
