自分が間違っていたと認めて恥ずかしい思いをすること。特に自信があった後に明らかに間違っていたときに使う。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

カジュアルでユーモラスな状況で使います。自信や誇りを持っていたときに間違いが明らかになり、認めざるをえない場合に使います。深刻な場合には使いません。
