Definition

Duty 指的是因為工作、身份、道德責任或法律而應該或必須做的事情。它也可以表示正式在崗、值班的工作時段。

常見搭配有 'a sense of duty'、'do your duty'、'on duty'/'off duty'。'Duty' 比 'job' 或 'task' 更正式，常帶有道德責任感，而不只是一般任務。它也出現在固定表達中，如 'customs duty'（關稅）。
