사람이나 물건이 물이나 다른 액체에 완전히 젖었을 때 사용합니다. 그냥 젖은 것보다 훨씬 심하게 젖은 상태입니다.

비에 맞거나 물에 빠졌을 때, 혹은 땀에 흠뻑 젖었을 때 많이 쓰입니다. 'wet'보다 훨씬 심한 상태를 나타냅니다. 예: 'drenched in sweat'.

He was drenched after walking in the rain.
