Definition

Tortu, sıvının dibinde kalan küçük katı veya istenmeyen maddelerdir. Aynı zamanda bir şeyin en kötü veya değersiz kısmı için de kullanılır.

‘dregs of society’ ifadesi çok olumsuzdur, değersiz insanlar için kullanılır. Sıvılar için çoğul ('the dregs') hali yaygındır.

There are dregs left at the bottom of my coffee cup.
