কোনো কিছু আসল যতটা গুরুতর, গুরুত্বপূর্ণ, বা বড় সেটিকে কম বলে দেখানো বা ছোট করে দেখা। সাধারণত কারো মনোযোগ বা উদ্বেগ এড়াতে এমনটা করা হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'risk', 'problem', 'results', 'accusations' ইত্যাদি শব্দের সাথে 'তুচ্ছ করা' বা 'গুরুত্ব কমিয়ে দেখা' ব্যবহার হয়। সাধারণত নেতিবাচক বা সমালোচনামূলক অর্থ বহন করে।
