Definition

物や人を広い場所に拡げたり、さまざまな方向へ移動させたりすること。

煙や種、人ごみ、液体などに使われることが多いです。受動態「is being dispersed」でよく使われます。「dissolving」や「spreading」とは異なります。

The wind is dispersing the seeds across the field.
