'Dishtowels' खास तौर पर अमेरिकी अंग्रेज़ी में बोला जाता है; ब्रिटिश में 'tea towel' कहा जाता है। 'Dishcloth' से ना मिलाएँ, जो ज़्यादातर बर्तन धोने के लिए होता है। यह शब्द सिर्फ़ रसोई में इस्तेमाल होने वाले कपड़ों के लिए है।
