専制主義とは、一人または少数のグループが絶対的な権力を持ち、しばしば人々の権利を無視して抑圧的に支配する体制や行為を指します。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
主に歴史や政治、統治体制について議論する際に使われます。否定的な意味合いがあり、日常会話ではほとんど使われません。「絶対的な」「支配体制」などの語とよく組み合わせて使います。
