何かを完全に処分すること。たいてい捨てたり、廃棄したりする場合に使われます。また、何かを完全にやめる・中止する意味もあります。

英語で非公式・口語的な表現。アイデアや計画、物などを処分するときによく使う（'deep six the plan'など）。ときに秘密裏や強制的なニュアンスがある。フォーマルな文書では使わない。
