Definition

보통 차량이나 사물 등으로 무언가나 누군가와 우연히 부딪히는 것. 비유적으로 예상치 못한 만남에도 사용된다.

주로 구어에서 사용하며, 차량 사고에 자주 씀. ‘crash with’는 양쪽 모두를 강조, ‘crash into’는 한 쪽이 들이받는 상황에 씀. ‘bump into’는 가벼운 접촉.

The bus crashed with a taxi at the intersection.
