テーマや場所、領域のすべての部分を網羅すること。実際に物理的に回る場合や、比喩的にすべての話題に触れるという意味でも使われる。

主に比喩的に使われ、物事を全体的に説明したり、網羅的に取り上げる意図を表す。会議や説明で、抜けがないことを強調する際によく使われる。物理的な意味での使用は稀。
