‘구석’이나 ‘모서리’는 두 면이나 선이 만나는 지점을 의미하며, 방이나 테이블 등에서 쓰입니다. 눈에 잘 띄지 않는 곳을 가리킬 때도 사용할 수 있습니다.

‘구석’, ‘모서리’는 복수로 쓸 수 있습니다. 방, 거리, 책의 모서리, 숨겨진 장소에 자주 사용됩니다. 'cutting corners'는 대충하거나 절약함을 뜻합니다.
