病気や感情、考えなどが人や物から他の人や物へ広がる現象です。主に病気の拡大を指しますが、感情や情報の広がりにも使われます。

ややフォーマルまたは専門的な言葉です。個人の感染には用いず、『social contagion』『financial contagion』のように現象や広がり全体を指します。感情や情報にも使われます。
