Uso algo formal; normalmente empregado para ideias abstratas ou muito difíceis de imaginar. Costuma-se usar com 'how', 'that' ou 'of': 'conceive of a world without war'. Não confundir com 'conceive' (engravidar); aqui quer dizer 'imaginar'.
