Definition

যৌগ বলতে দুই বা তার বেশি উপাদান একসাথে মিশে তৈরি কিছু বোঝায়; প্রাঙ্গণ বলতে কোনো স্থানে ঘেরা অংশ যেখানে বেশ কয়েকটি ভবন থাকতে পারে।

'compound sentence', 'compound interest', 'compound fracture'— এসব প্রযুক্ত এবং আনুষ্ঠানিক ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'chemical compound' বলতে রাসায়নিক মিলিত পদার্থ বোঝায়। আর 'military compound' বা 'housing compound' হলো নির্দিষ্ট দেয়ালঘেরা এলাকা।
