Definition
‘commuted’ genellikle ev ile iş veya okul arasında düzenli olarak gidip gelmek anlamına gelir. Aynı zamanda bir cezanın hafifletilmesi için de kullanılır.
Usage Notes (Turkish)
Genellikle işe veya okula günlük gidip gelmek için kullanılır; 'He commuted by train.' Hukuki bağlamda ise cezanın hafifletilmesi anlamına gelir; 'His sentence was commuted.' 'communicate' ile karıştırmayın.
