만화는 그림과 글로 이야기를 전하는 책이나 연재물로, 주로 재미있거나 상상력이 많은 내용이 많다.

'만화'는 신문 연재(연재 만화)와 책(만화책) 모두를 말한다. '코믹(개그맨)'과는 다르다.
