大事なことをする直前に、急に不安やためらいを感じること。特に結婚式や発表などの前によく使う。

主にカジュアルな表現で、結婚前や重要な決断の直前によく使われる。「get cold feet」「have cold feet」の形で用いることが多い。実際の温度と無関係。
