Definition

物や情報が多すぎて、空間や思考を使いにくくしたり、散らかしたりすること。話や頭の中が複雑になって混乱する場合にも使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に物理的な場所の乱雑さ（'cluttering the desk'）に使われますが、頭や話の混乱（'cluttering your mind'）にも使います。口語的で、'up'と一緒に使われることが多いです。'cleaning'とは反対の意味です。
