কোনো কিছু চূড়ান্তভাবে নিশ্চিত করা, যেমন একটি বিজয়, অথবা কাউকে/কিছু শক্ত করে ধরা।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

খেলাধুলা বা ব্যবসায় 'clinch the deal', 'clinch the victory' বলতে ফলাফল নিশ্চিত করাকে বোঝায়। মারামারিতে চেপে ধরে রাখা অর্থেও ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'clench' (দাঁত বা মুষ্ঠি শক্ত করে ধরা) সঙ্গে গুলিয়ে ফেলবেন না।
