爪とは、猫や鳥、爬虫類などの動物の足にある鋭く曲がった爪のことです。獲物を掴んだり引き裂くために使われます。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
「爪」は主に動物に使われ、人間の爪には使いません。「鋭い爪」「猫の爪」などの表現がよく使われます。猛禽類の爪には「タロン」と呼ぶこともあります。
