Definition

チワワは、目と耳が大きい非常に小型の犬種で、もともとメキシコ原産です。

「チワワ」は犬種名なので、カタカナで表記します。他の小型犬には使いません。「ティーカップチワワ」「ロングコートチワワ」などもよく使われます。

A chihuahua is smaller than most other dogs.
