誰かや何かが他の人や物の後を捕まえようとして追いかけること。人、動物、ものなどに使われる。

「chase」の三人称単数形です。動物やスポーツ、追いかけるシーンによく使います。「follow」とは違い、捕まえようとする積極的な追跡を表します。
