Definition

'ভুষি' বলতে শস্যের শুকনো বাইরের খোসা বোঝায়, যা পাটানোর সময় শস্য থেকে আলাদা করা হয়। এটি এমন কিছু বোঝাতেও ব্যবহৃত হয় যা মূল্যহীন বা গুরুত্বহীন।

'chaffs' শব্দটি খুব কম ব্যবহৃত হয়; সাধারণত 'chaff' একবচন ব্যবহার হয়। 'chaff' কিছু অপ্রয়োজনীয় বা গুরুত্বহীন জিনিস বোঝাতেও বলা হয়। 'separating the wheat from the chaff' বলতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ও গুরুত্বহীন আলাদা বোঝানো হয়।
