Definition

カソードは電気機器の電極で、電子が入る側や還元反応が起こる場所です。電池では通常、プラス極を指します。

「カソード」は物理や電子分野の専門用語です。電池ではプラス極ですが、ダイオードや電解槽等ではマイナス極の場合もあります。「anode（アノード）」と対で使われます。
