Contar y verificar todo el dinero recibido al final del día de trabajo, especialmente en una tienda o restaurante, para asegurarse de que coincide con los registros.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Expresión habitual en comercios y hostelería, de uso informal. Suele decirse al final del turno: 'cash up at the end of your shift.' Más común en inglés británico/irlandés que americano ('close out', 'balance the register'). Cuidado con la diferencia entre 'cash up' (contar) y solo 'cash' (efectivo).
