カニバリズムは、人間や動物が自分と同じ種の個体を食べる行為です。生き残るためや、動物の自然な行動として見られることもあります。

主に学術的（生物学・人類学）や極限状況の話題で使われます。人間ではタブー視されますが、動物の行動としても研究されます。「共食い」は主に動物に使われる日常語です。
