Definition
Hacer un cambio repentino en los planes o decisiones, generalmente debido a situaciones inesperadas. La frase viene del fútbol americano, donde el quarterback cambia la jugada en el último momento.

Expresión informal, usada sobre todo en inglés norteamericano. Equivale a 'improvisar' o 'cambiar de planes sobre la marcha'. Escúchala en negocios y conversaciones casuales. No es literal, ni común fuera del inglés americano.
