「用心深い」は、自分の考えや情報を簡単に明かさず、警戒心や疑いから控えめな態度をとることです。

インタビューや交渉で、はっきり話さない人に使われます。「cagey about ~」は何かをはぐらかして言いたくない時に使う表現です。「慎重」と「恥ずかしがり」とは違います。

Everyone got a bit cagey when the boss walked in.
