यह दिखाने के लिए प्रयोग होता है कि कोई बात बिल्कुल भी सच नहीं है या बहुत ज़्यादा अंतर है, मतलब 'कहीं से भी नहीं'।

अनौपचारिक है, आमतौर पर बोलचाल में नकारात्मक वाक्य के साथ (not..., by a long shot) इस्तेमाल होता है। 'बिल्कुल भी नहीं' जैसा अर्थ देता है।
