お腹の中のガスが口から音を立てて出てくること。食事や飲み物の後によく起こる。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

フォーマルな場では失礼とされることが多いが、赤ちゃんの場合は普通。'the baby burped' は赤ちゃんがげっぷをしたという意味。'hiccup'（しゃっくり）とは異なる。
