बैल वे नर गाए (सांड) होते हैं जिन्हें बधिया कर दिया गया है और जो आमतौर पर खेतों में हल या गाड़ी खींचने के लिए इस्तेमाल होते हैं। यह शब्द ब्रिटिश अंग्रेज़ी और भारत जैसे देशों में आम है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

'Bullocks' शब्द खासकर ब्रिटिश अंग्रेज़ी और उसके प्रभाव वाले देशों में ही ज़्यादा होता है। अमरीकी अंग्रेज़ी में 'steer' या 'ox' ज़्यादा आम हैं। भारत में 'bullock cart' बोलना बहुत आम है। 'bullocks' बतौर गाली/आश्चर्य भी ब्रिटेन में बोला जाता है (इसका जानवर से कोई लेना-देना नहीं)।
