ふくらみは、表面から外にふくらんでいる部分を指します。丸く盛り上がっている様子です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

複数形で、特に物体や体の一部が外側に膨らんでいる時に使います。「in」「on」「under」と一緒に使われることが多いです。
