Cuando un video, audio u otro medio se detiene o pausa temporalmente para cargar más datos y reproducirse sin interrupciones.

Se usa principalmente al hablar de videos o música en línea. Sueles ver el mensaje 'buffering' cuando la conexión es lenta. No se emplea en otros contextos fuera del streaming y medios digitales.
