Definition

「ボット」とは、人間の代わりに自動でウェブ上の作業を行うプログラムのことです。ユーザーと会話したり、情報収集や作業を自動化します。

主にITやゲーム、オンライン環境で使われます。「チャットボット」「スパムボット」「SNSボット」などの表現が一般的です。実際のロボットではなく、ほとんどがソフトウェアです。
