“Bootlegging” 指非法製造、複製或出售某些東西(如酒精、電影或音樂),通常是為了逃避稅收或法律。歷史上特指非法釀造或販賣酒精飲料。

最初指美國禁酒時期的非法酒類,現在多指非法仿製並販售媒體內容。較為口語,正式文件少用。“bootleg”為形容詞,“bootlegger”為相關人員。不要與“smuggling”混用,後者泛指一切非法貨物運輸。
